The Struggle to Vote In Alabama
Wednesday, March 25, 2020 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Due to the CoVid19 concerns, the League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley is canceling this month's Public meeting. This was a difficult decision. But protecting the health of our members and the public is always paramount.

For something different and exciting! In the near term we are developing an online presentation/webinar for The Struggle to Vote in Alabama.

We are excited to present A Nineteenth Amendment Centennial Project of the League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley entitled "The Struggle To Vote In Alabama"

This presentation provides an Alabama-centric Womens Voting Rights history.  It was originally presented in October 2019 for the Learning Quest Program in Huntsville.  Portions of it are being presented at libraries across our 5 county region.  InMarch 2020, the public is invited to attend our monthly meeting where you will learn more about several courageous Alabama women who have been pushing and fighting for voting rights and against voter suppression.

We'll present from two parts of our three part Centennial Project presentation

Part 1:  The Struggle to Vote: The Nation, Alabama, and the South,1848-Present

and

Part 2: The Struggle to Vote: The Nation, Alabama, and the South,1848-Present
