Fremont-Newark-Union City

The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark, and Union City is a nonpartisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

“The day may be approaching when the whole world

will recognize women as the equal of man.”

— Susan B. Anthony

As we start Women’s History Month in March and on the eve of the League of Women Voters hundredth anniversary next year, it’s important to recognize and celebrate the lives of some of the great women who fought with all their might to get the 19th Amendment passed in 1920. Think of them when you mail in your ballot or enter the voting booth on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.
