Julie Dunkle received this email from a first time voter who registered to vote through Youth Voter Movement. There is hope for the future with messages like this.
“I just voted on 10/26 and it was way easier than I thought it would be. I dropped off my vote at the public library drop-box. I used the LWV booklet and some online resources to educate myself on all the candidates and propositions.
I made sure all of my fiends voted or have plans to vote on Election Day. It’s amazing how much of a push there has been for people to register and go vote, especially with the BLM movement and the quarantine. I’m glad we were able to get ahead of all that.
It’s fun to know I was registered to vote before it was cool. Thanks for helping me do that.”
