  • Radio Interview February 2023 on KKRN – Exceptional Living – March 2024 Voting Information
  • Letters to Editor of Record Searchlight re: BOS actions to change voting systems
  • Shasta Board of Supervisors Testimony – president and members spoke on election processes, and in support of Registrar of Voters and Election Office in general
  • Established a Communication Committee and hired an IT consultant to Update the League website, Facebook and Instagram sites
  • President and Past president attended the LWVC Convention in San Francisco

Meetings

  • September 26, 2023 – Cathy Darling Allen, ROV Shasta County, spoke on the current state of Shasta County voting processes
  • October 24, 2023 – Stephanie Bridgett , DA Shasta County, spoke on "Homelessness, Drug Addiction and Theft Reduction Act" 
  • Jan 26, 2024 Soup Supper. Eric Lawyer, from CSAC (CA State Assoc. of Counties) and Margaret Long, General Counsel for Tehama, Modoc and Trinity Counties spoke on the pros and cons of being a charter county.
  • Jan 31, 2024 – Susan Wilson - Pros and Cons for Proposition 1 and Local Ballot Measures C and D on March Primary Ballot
  • Feb 28, 2024 - Program Planning Meeting to identify highest program priorities to forward to LWVUS and local priorities for 24-25. Priorities sent to LWVUS were: money in politics, immigration and gun regulation. Local priorities were: gun regulation, money in politics, homelessness, access to voting.
  • March 27, 2024 Mike Thomas spoke on Use of Force in policing philosophy and practice
  • April 24, 2024 Kristen Schreder spoke on the Continuum of Care
  • May 29, 2024 – Annual Members Meeting – Matt Plummer will speak on How Shasta County Becomes the Highest Performing Government in the State
