Join us for our monthly meeting, featuring guest speaker Mike Thomas. Mike will deliver an insightful presentation titled "Use of Force: What Is It?"

The session is scheduled to start at 12:00 noon and will be held in the Redding Library Community Room. We look forward to seeing you there!

About our guest: Mike Thomas spent 43 years in the law enforcement community, including serving in the United States Coast Guard, the San Bernardino Police Department, and the Redding Police Department.

He worked in the Redding Police Department from 1987 until he retired in 2011, serving as a patrol officer, use of force instructor, detective, DARE officer, and sergeant. He was a use of force instructor at Butte College, in both the Butte College Law Enforcement Academy and the California Fish & Wildlife Academy, from 1999 until he retired in 2023.

Mike has an A.A. in Administration of Justice and a B.A. in Liberal Studies, is a Leadership Redding graduate, and served 10 years on the Steering Committee, including as Chair. He is married to Yvonne, and they have four children and six grandchildren.
