On May 29, 2024, the League of Women Voters of the Redding Area will conduct their annual members' meeting at the McConnell Foundation. The business segment will include the approval of local positions and the election of officers, Board of Directors, and the Nominating Committee for the 2024-2025 term. A catered dinner will be available at a cost of $30 per person.
The evening will feature a talk by the newly elected District 4 Supervisor, Matt Plummer, entitled "How Shasta County Becomes the Highest Performing Government in the State."
About our guest:
Matt grew up in a small rural town, mowing lawns and painting fences at the nearby horse farm. After school, Matt joined an organization that helps some of the world’s leading nonprofits figure out if their programs worked and if they did, how to grow them to benefit more people.
Six years ago, Matt started a company in Redding to help companies, nonprofits, and government agencies and their employees become more effective and efficient. Over the last few years, Matt has helped manage 3 statewide campaigns, was county chair for a ballot measure on school choice, and managed a Redding city council campaign.
On the weekends, he enjoys the outdoors with his high school sweetheart and 3 girls.
