Aquarium of the Pacific and League of Women Voters announce a High School Students Climate Change contest

Type:
News

The League of Women Voters and the Aquarium of the Pacific are announcing a contest for Long Beach Unified School District students to get involved with climate change and help others learn more about what they can do to help reduce its impacts and adapt to its effects.

Students within Long Beach are the voice of our community’s future, and climate change impacts will be felt most acutely by future generations. A cash award of $1,000 will be awarded to an individual or group of students for projects that contribute to climate change education, mitigation, or resilience at our joint annual event on January 13, 2019.

Please go to this site to submit for consideration - Project submissions are due no later than December 1, 2018 via electronic application.
