According to the official US Census, Mendocino County’s population has grown to 91,602 people.  Four of the five cities in the county have seen increases in their population.

How does the population change affect our supervisorial districts?

Your questions will be answered at the LWV’s September 28, Redistricting presentation.

The program will be led by Paula Cohen, League Vice President, and one of the five Mendocino County Community-Based Redistricting Advisory Commissioners.  You will learn what redistricting is, the regulations governing the process, what is a ‘Community of Interest,’ how to have a voice in describing your community, how the lines are drawn and the ways you can participate.

Leif Farr, Mendocino County’s GIS (Graphic Information System) Coordinator will demonstrate the mapping tool and how you can draw maps that reflect your community.

Please join us for this highly informative session.
