August walk and talk… about community schools

Please join us on Saturday, August 26, for a summer walk and talk as we learn about the Community School concept from the San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools, Nancy Magee. We will walk from the League’s office to the nearby Turnbull/College Park schools where Nancy will introduce us to the District’s aspirations for this new neighborhood resource.  

Time and Place: 

9:30 a.m. : Meet at the League Office @ 444 Peninsula Avenue, Unit 1. There will be a bit of nosh and coffee/tea to enjoy while we gather.

9:45 a.m. : Walk to the Turnbull/College Park site. This is an approximately 15-minute walk on level ground.

10-10:30 a.m. : Conversation with Nancy

10:45 a.m. : Back at the Office

We hope you can join us as we begin learning more about an important new educational approach to supporting the whole child.
