Climate Change is one of the 5 Key Issues of LWV California for this year. The State league has declared that we are in a climate emergency and urges relevant action by state, county, and local governments. We have heard this statement from a lot of organizations, but LWVC has a Climate Change Task Force that has put together an incredible amount of information on their site. Please click here for information on what local leagues are doing, what you can do as an individual, and what the Climate Change Task Force is doing to address the climate crisis. Don't forget to bookmark the page so you can refer to it often.
The Climate Change Task Force will be presenting a San Diego Climate Change Forum on Saturday, November 9 from 1-4pm, in the Rancho Penasquitos Library, 13330 Salmon River Rd, San Diego. Check the Calendar on the sidebar for a map to the library. This forum is hosted by both LWVNCSD and LWVSD. Register here.
The Climate Change Task Force has been very active in the LA area and Northern California. We need more people from San Diego County to cover climate issues in our area. It is a great group to join if you want to see action in solving the climate crisis. The Task Force deals with Community Choice Energy, Smart Growth, local climate action plans, sea level rise and more. Please contact email@example.com if you want to join this group.
See attached flyer and download to share with other League members you know.
