Free the Vote for Californians on Parole, ACA 6 - Update
Thank you, Nancy, Karina and all who took action. The California State Senate voted 28 to 9 to approve ACA 6. At least 27 votes were needed in the Senate. With approval in the Assembly and Senate, ACA 6 was placed on the ballot for the general election on November 3, 2020. - Update 6/24/2020
On Monday June 15, 2020, LWV Orange Coast members Nancy Kriz and Karina Brocco-French, along with LWVC Deputy Director Dora Rose and two of our coalition partners (Initiate Justice Policy Associate Daisy Chavez and their Outside Organizer Graham Finochio) met with Scott Carpenter, Senator John Moorlach's District Director, to discuss the proposal, which will soon come to the Senate floor.
