Annually, members gather, discuss and decide on proposals to be submitted to the board.
Program Planning Overview for Coast Members
Program Planning for 2020-2022
The League of Women Voters of the United States
In the League, Program Planning is the process by which we decide where and how we will focus our resources – member time, money, reputation – over the next two years.
Where will the League have the most impact? What will help build the League name – and help build our organization? What do we want prioritized for the League’s work at the local and national level? We hope many members participate as we address these crucial questions. Participating in Program planning is a great way for members to get an orientation to the work of The League!
We are a grassroots organization. Program planning is one of the ways for all of us to participate in a meaningful way. We all have the opportunity and the responsibility to participate in program planning – to add our voices.
Coast League will make our recommendations for LWVUS Issues for Emphasis in 2020-2022.
We will review current Positions, but also make recommendations on the campaign for Making Democracy Work with Leagues throughout the country working on:
- Voting Rights
- Improving Elections
- Campaign Finance/Money in Politics.
How You Can Help
- We need the help and involvement of both new members and experienced members. Help is needed with presenting information, but also with set-up, clean-up, greeting, name-tags and so on. Whatever your level of experience, we can use your help in some way!
- We will have a potluck lunch but not everyone needs to bring something. Sign up to bring a dish.
The meeting is planned to run from 10-2 but we have the site from 9 - 3.
