The League supports action to preserve open space to assure continued availability of predominantly open land for the scenic beauty, for recreation, and for conserving natural resources.

To protect against urban sprawl, the extension of roads and utilities into identified
Environmentally Sensitive Areas and unincorporated county lands should be avoided.
Support of open space dedication instead of “in lieu” payments.
