LWVP President's Message January 1, 2019

Happy New Year!  We have a busy schedule planned this year, so please keep following our newsletter for updates and specifics.  Before we ring in the new, I want to give thanks to everyone who planned, volunteered, and attended our wonderful holiday luncheon. Special thanks to our speaker, Anastasia Edel, who was fabulous and brought us up to date on the Russian perspective.
As I look back at 2018, I am tremendously proud of the work our Piedmont League has done.  The League strives to bring quality programs on important policy matters to educate the community, and this year we accomplished this through our Voter Forum and educational speaker series thanks to the dedication of our members and support from the Piedmont community.
As we head into 2019, I hope to see you at our upcoming events, and leave you with the words of John Lennon, “Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.”
