MONTHLY MESSAGE ~ September

Fall is in the air, and your board members are preparing for the November 3 general election by registering voters and scheduling candidate forums!  We need all hands-on deck so call or text Sue Tescher (530-360-1061) to volunteer at the forums.

Reach out to Carla McNamara (530-355-3562) or Cathy Lefler (530-549-4255) to help with voter registration. They have some exciting opportunities including health clinics, schools and a church.

In other exciting news, thanks to the dedication and expertise of Jill Phillips and Justine Lehman, the board approved a $20,000 Dignity Community Health Improvement Grant proposal. The league could use a financial boost to improve our community outreach.

Penny Steiner is working on restyling our Giving Tuesday site.  More about that next month.

Hollyn Chase, Mari Ennis-Applegate and Patte Jelovich are just wrapping up two community elections: one for the Wintu Tribe of Northern California and the other for the Mission Square Property Owners Association.

Sharon Brisolara (530-515-6480) encourages members to send her environmental questions for the October 1 Redding City Council Candidates forum at Pilgrim Congregational Church.
