Where Your Contributions Go
The League of Women Voters of Sacramento County is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We rely on dues and donations to support our programs.
Contributions to our General Fund support the League's work to protect and defend our democracy. Together with our community, we work to ensure our elections are free, fair and accessible; to protect our environment; and to reduce the influence of money in our elections. Donations are welcome because membership dues cover only a portion of our annual expenses.
Alternatively, you may earmark you donation to one of our special funds:
Membership Support Fund: With the goal of diversifying our membership, the LWVSC created a Membership Support Fund in 1990. Members and other contributors donate to this Fund to help defray the cost of membership to prospective members who are on a limited income. Membership applicants must make a minimum payment of $15.00.
Anne Rudin Scholarship Fund: The League of Women Voters of Sacramento County established the Anne Rudin Scholarship Fund to commemorate the accomplishments of former Sacramento Mayor Anne Rudin and to enable other women to pursue higher education in the fields of public administration and public policy.
