Vote! Video Project: Why do YOU Vote?

Voting is people power

WHY DO YOU VOTE?  YOUR 30 SEC VIDEO!

The goal of this project is to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) with social media videos on LWVSB and our partners’ platforms. LWVSB will record brief statements of local people to post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as our YouTube Channel.

We plan to share one a day leading up to Election Day, to remind people why we vote.

Electric power in the South Coast region in Santa Barbara County is completely dependent on a substation served by transmission lines traversing many miles through the Los Padres National Forest. The region known as the Goleta Load Pocket, served by the Goleta transmission substation, extends seventy miles from Point Conception to Carpinteria, and includes the cities of Goleta, Santa Barbara, and Carpinteria.
