---------------------------------------------

The Civic Education series -  The Government 101 Team is happy to report that the series has been delivered to the community with much success. It debuted on October 21, 2021 and concluded on November 18, 2021. There were five sessions that covered from Federal Government, California State Government, County and City Governments, School Districts and Civic Engagement.

The series was meant for people who did not have an opportunity to learn US Government and US History in high school or who just wished to brush up knowledge from these areas. Thanks to our IT Director Amy Vu, the series was delivered via Zoom webinar, without any technical glitches and with increased viewership as we progressed to each session. By session five, we had reached 96 registrants cumulatively.

There were questions asked during the session and then there were comments expressed by the attendees. Based on the feedback from them and from our own presenters, we all believed that civic education like this truly is much needed and appreciated.

A big THANK YOU to our Board and League members for your trust and support. This series demonstrated how Democracy Works. We are proud to be a part of the effort.

For your interests, listed below are the links to all five sessions.

Again, thank you to all who have helped prepare the curriculum, the publicity, the editing and the Zoom operation: Qing Bai, Margret Bard, Liang Chao, Vicky Du, Julie Reynolds-Grabbe, Sophia Kao, Tom Picraux, Amy Vu, Eleanor Yick, Frances Zhan, Victoria Zhang and Yan Zhao. What an awesome Team!

We hope more will consider joining us for future topics in the Civic Education series, 201, 301 and etc,. Happy Holidays to All!
