Please join the League of Women Voters Water Committee for a webinar presentation and discussion on Tool Kits for Local Action to Enhance Water Resilience on Wednesday, September 27 at 5 p.m. Registration information is below.
As we cope with climate change, our communities have many opportunities to greatly enhance their water resilience through local actions to improve water efficiency, capture of stormwater, reuse of greywater as well as through development of recycled and groundwater projects.
Which combination of actions are the best investments and why? Every community, every landowner, has a different array of opportunities. This webinar will present information for how people can identify and evaluate water management opportunities for water resilience that are integrated, multi-benefit and equity based, and that best fit their local conditions.
Our featured speaker is Regina Hirsch, Founder and Executive Director of the Watershed Progressive which focuses on onsite water best management practices aimed at rehydrating watersheds. Knowing what people can do in their homes and backyards and which actions can make a difference, Regina Hirsch's goal is to spread the word on good and appropriate decision-making when it comes to water, energy, plants, soils and, most of all, community.
When: September 27, 2003; 05:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)
Topic: Understanding Local Potential for Securing Water Resilience: Toolkits for Evaluating Integrated Watershed Management Opportunities.
