Raising funds for the League of Women Voters, Pamela Thornton, President LWVTA, won an honorable mention award at the Dancing with the South Bay Stars benefit at the Armstrong Theatre.
This event was a monumental effort for Pam. She not only practiced for months, but also needed to rally donors to support our group to boost her place in the event - no easy task because so many worthy non-profit groups competed. In fact, Emma Simmons, LWVTA Director At-Large of Special Projects, was rallying donors up to the last minute before the performance.
