“Carson hosts this annual Hispanic Heritage Month event to sample the richness and variety of Latin-American cultures. I hope that everybody enjoys the great food, the awesome music, the dancing, and all the wonderful festivities this event has to offer. This is becoming a tradition that not only families from Carson enjoy, but friends from all over the South Bay look forward to attending every year,” said Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes.
National Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes the contributions of Hispanic and Latino-Americans in the United States and celebrates the group’s heritage and culture and was formally recognized and established by an Act of Congress in 1988.
The festivities will take place at Foisia Park from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. There will be non-stop entertainment on stage, including Yamila Guerra and Yalil Guerra Orchestra Latin Band, Mariachi Los Criollos de Guadalajara and Myah Valenz as the headliners. Local group Ballet Folklorico Alma de Oro will also be joining the performances on stage.
