Come and learn about local community and civic engagement from our own "Hometown Heroes" at Act for Women and Girls. Their work on initiative Vote at 16. We will also learn how ACT's vision is developed and implemented, and how we can engage youth in the process.
 

Erin Garner-Ford is the Executive Director of ACT for Women and Girls. Born and raised in Visalia, Erin considers the Central Valley of California her home. Garner-Ford has experience in organizational and program development, legislative policy, and grassroots advocacy with a focus on reproductive health and justice issues.

Sarah Hutchinson is the Policy Director of ACT for Women and Girls. For six years, Sarah has been organizing in rural communities in the Central Valley to activate young people and bring justice to our communities. She has experience with legislative policy, youth and political organizing, and program implementation.
