Our Health Care Committee, co-chaired by Barbara Frentzen and Kim Walsh-Childers, is hosting its next meeting in person at Oak Hammock. They will follow up on earlier discussions and plan actions to take in the community. The meeting is open to all LWVAC members and may be available by Zoom as well.
LWVAC's Gun Violence Prevention & Safety Committee will meet by Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month. We are brainstorming what we can do to augment the efforts of the other community partners are doing to prevent gun violence and promote gun safety.

The cities of Alachua and Newberry have elections on Tuesday, April 8. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting is open to all registered voters who reside in the city limits. The elections are managed by the individual city administrations.
HANDS OFF PROTEST: Saturday, April 5, 12pm, at SE Depot Ave and Main Street. Be there! Protests are fun, visible and energizing to the protesters and the public. Bring a sign, streamers, drums, noise-makers, a friend!
