Voter Services is hosting an in-person voter registration event at The Village in Gainesville. Volunteers are needed to help register voters and/or help residents update their voter registration. There will be two shifts from 10-12 and 1-4.

Join the Local Issues Committee on the third Thursday of each month for discussions and action planning around issues most important to Alachua County residents.

All Oak Hammock residents are invited to attend this in-person meeting in the Acorn Room. It is the first organizational meeting of the Oak Hammock Committee to elect leaders and select meeting dates and times.

The Valley Book Club will meet via Zoom to discuss the book The Agitators: Three Friends Who Fought for Abolition and Women's Rights by renown author, Dorothy Wickenden. This is a story set in pre-Civil War America of three women who fought for abolition of slavery and for women's rights. Ms. Wickenden used letters and extensive research to trace the friendship and activism of Harriet Tubman, Martha Coffin Wright and Frances A. Seward. We welcome new readers to our group!
