August 11, 2021, 4:30 p.m. until museum closing at 6:00 p.m.

 

Works by Jacob Lawrence illustrate pivotal moments from the American Revolution and the early decades of the republic with the goal to examine the struggles of the founders and underrepresented historical figures as an integral part of the ongoing story of creating an American democracy

Normally attendance is quite limited so this is a very special opportunity!

Optional on your own: There are several restaurants just a block or so from the museum where we could continue to discuss this powerful exhibit exploring our country’s history.
