Sign Up to Work for the Potential 2020 General Election Recount

The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office

is preparing for a likely recount of the County Charter Amendment Establishing County Growth Management Area referenda.

If ordered by the Alachua County Canvassing Board, the recount in Alachua County will begin with a public logic and accuracy test at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 8, with the recount process beginning immediately thereafter. Assigned workers for the first shift would be expected to arrive by noon on November 8. Our office will remain open until the recount is complete.
If needed, a manual recount will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, November 13,
and continue until completed.In 2018, this process lasted about six hours.
The recount will occur at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located in Gainesville
at 515 N. Main St. It will be open to the public and take place on the building’s first floor.
