Hosted by the League of Women Voters of Georgia

The League of Women Voters of Georgia is pleased to announce that the honoree for the 2020 Making Democracy Work Award is Fair Fight for its continued fight against voter suppression and support of fair and transparent voting processes and procedures in Georgia. The League will present this award virtually to a representative of Fair Fight as part of our Power of the Vote event on August 22.

The Making Democracy Work Award is conferred to exceptional individuals and/or organizations who are working to improve Georgia and have mobilized others to effect sustainable, positive change that has benefited the broader community. This award honors and showcases individuals and/or organizations that have, in the League tradition, helped to make Georgia a stronger, more vibrant and equitable state.

This event is part of Equality Week 2020, a larger program celebrating the Centennial of the League of Women Voters and the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
