What a rewarding and meaningful day at Chattahoochee Technical College where we held a voter education and registration event on the Marietta Campus this past Thursday, Oct 3, 2019 from 10 am - 4 pm in the Atrium in Bldg C /Bldg D. In addition to the 5 paper registrations collected after 1:30 pm, we tallied 45-50 meaningful contacts where we connected with several students on a personal level. We also shared the process of calling the Board of Registrars Office to confirm municipal eligibility, walked though My Voter Page, shared information on poll workers for 16-year-olds who could earn a badge on their diploma for civic engagement and engaged other young adults who were interested in participating as a poll worker. We assisted numerous students with registering online, offered our $5 student memberships in LWV-MC and invited them to our October 14th meeting!  We will return to continue educating and empowering voters!
