Voting rights are under attack across the nation. Legislators have introduced over 360 voter suppression bills in 47 states. Enough is enough. Join a coalition of nonpartisan organizations honoring John Lewis's legacy by advocating for the passage of U.S. Senate Bill S1 For the People Act which eliminates voter suppression; U.S. House Bill HR4 the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and for removing the filibuster.

There will be two starting locations for this event: one in DuPage County at the IBEW Hall in Warrenville and one in Northwest Suburban Cook County in Palatine.

In 1869, about 500 women worked for the U.S. Treasury Department, but only received half the salary their male co-workers were paid. While still not equal in this area, women have made strides towards equal pay.

Some of the women involved in making these strides will be among those presented in April’s program, along with other "laudable ladies,” including “victorious voters” (in an original song of that name).

Join us for a virtual group tour of the Illinois Holocaust Museum exhibit, Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Presented by the museum's Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Arielle Weininger, the tour includes a discussion of the life of RBG and the history of the exhibition, using audio, video, and photographs of artifacts from the exhibit. The tour is followed by a live Q&A.
