Gun violence remains a significant threat to communities around the country and here in Illinois. Recently, the League of Women Voters of Illinois conducted a consensus study on gun violence prevention that included a review of 15 policy positions focused on improving gun violence prevention in the State. The League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Lisle is pleased to host a roundtable discussion on this critical topic. The League will be joined by representatives from The Joyce Foundation, a leading funder in gun violence prevention efforts, and the Clarendon Hills chapter of Moms Demand Action, a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. Our panel will also include a local high school student who will share the perspective of young people today who are trying to learn and grow in the shadow of gun violence in our communities. Please join us for this important discussion.
