DUPAGE COUNTY CLERK JEAN KACZMAREK INVITES PUBLIC TO A VOTE-BY-MAIL FORUM IN WHEATON ON JAN. 15th
WHEATON, IL: DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek invites the public to a Vote-by-Mail Forum on Thursday, Jan. 15th from 5:00-6:30 pm, at the County’s Auditorium, 421 County Farm Road, Wheaton. This event will give voters the opportunity to raise questions to the Clerk’s staff on the entire voting-by-mail process.
“Voting by mail continues to be a safe, reliable and convenient form of voting,” Kaczmarek says. “My goal is to educate the public by explaining the process from start to finish, then answering questions voters may still have.”
The Clerk’s office will also underline how critical it is to return mail ballots promptly. Recently the United States Postal Service released information that they cannot guarantee postmarking by the Election Day deadline; a late postmark would disenfranchise a mail voter.
DuPage County currently has nearly 100,000 voters who have requested permanent mail ballots.
