Advocacy

March

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization, but, after careful study, we will advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest. We believe your role is vital to this process and its potential impact. Click on the red links below to learn more about our advocacy and how your voice can help shape change.

Time for Action Alerts
The League generates Time for Action alerts that raise awareness about relevant issues and what you (as a concerned citizen and voter) can do to make a difference. Click here to view the latest alerts on the LWV Elmhurst website.

Making Your Voice Heard
Your voice matters, and there are many ways to make it heard. You can . . .

  • Attend and/or regularly observe public hearings and legislative sessions.
  • Express League opinions on radio, TV, social media, or in print.
  • Host educational forums on position topics.
  • Testify before local governing bodies.
