On August 20, 2026, LWVPFA welcomed an outstanding lineup of dynamic women leaders who provided an update on their activities as well as ways the body they represent impacts our members and guests, residents of the south suburbs.

 

Our speakers were:

Debbie Meyers-Martin, Illinois State Representative, 38th District

Dr. Kisha McCaskill, Cook County Board Commissioner, 5th District

Yumeka Brown, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago Commissioner

 

The Annual Meeting also included our regular business meeting including committee reports, a presentation of the budget, and proposed bylaws changes.   A nominating committee is also being formed to elect our vice-president and treasurer whose two year terms have expired.
