League members, guests and members of the public are invited to Cantigny Park for a presentation by Michael Fortner, former member of the Illinois House of Representatives, 2007-2019, on fair maps.  Parking and program are free.  Registration is required. 

Mike Fortner is a past mayor and State Legislator who has advocated for non partisan Fair Maps in the General Assembly. He currently serves on board of the Public Mapping Project. The Public Mapping Project is comprised of a coalition of people who believe that democracy works best when the public is engaged.

Socializing is at 6:30 PM and the program starts at 7 PM.  Many of the Civic Awareness programs are recorded.  If you do not want to be in the video, sit in the back rows.
