Description
November 3rd’s election will be unique because of the pandemic, the hotly contested presidential race and accusations of voter fraud. On November 18th at 7 pm David Orr, who oversaw elections for 28 years, will present his assessment of the character of the voting process locally and nationally.
Orr played pivotal roles in helping to shape state and federal election reforms. He led the fight for the Motor Voter Law, introduced early voting legislation and expanded the Clerk’s Teen Democracy Program. Orr is the founder of Good Government Illinois, whose major goals are protecting the vote, advocating best practices for government and electing progressives to office.
