In addition to a full slate of candidate debates and forums, the League is hosting the first Read IN with the League reading and discussion group on October 16 and our annual Friend-Raiser on October 19.

According to the U.S. Census Report released September 10th, for the first time in a decade the number of Americans without health insurance has risen by about 2 million people. This comes on the heels of research showing that the Affordable Care Act has led to improvements in healthcare for many.
