Our League has one annual renewal date which was June 30. It is more important than ever for
everyone to support the League of Women Voters US, Iowa and Johnson County.
Membership is critical.

As league members we work to empower voters and defend democracy
through advocacy, education, and litigation at all levels, local, state, and national.
For example, an important initiative launched this spring by the national league is the One
Person One Vote campaign to achieve a new system for electing future presidents by direct
popular vote. There are so many reasons for electing the President by direct popular vote
including the fact the candidate with the most votes from the people actually becomes President.

We work throughout the year to help register every eligible voter and provide voter information.
Because this in an election year, we will be facilitating candidate forums for state and local
congressional contests. Please take a minute to renew your membership TODAY! You can
renew online at https://my.lwv.org/iowa/johnson-county/join or download the form and mail it
and your check to League of Women Voters Johnson Co, PO box 5452, Coralville, IA 52241.
Dues are $70 or $105 for a household. There is a $20 membership fee for students. If you want
to change your preferred email or update your address this is the time to do that as well.
