The Charter Commission of Iowa City invites public participation to give input regarding potential changes to the city charter. The charter which is reviewed every 10 years is a document that determines how the city government is organized and administered. It includes items such as compostion and election of the City Council, division of Council districts, employment and duties of the city manager, and procedures for initiatives and referendums.
