This interview originally aired on WISN 12 News.
On this International Women's Day, WISN 12 News is celebrating and highlighting the women making a difference in our communities.
Co-author of Somos Latinas: Voices of Wisconsin Latina Activists Eloisa Gomez is one of the women making a difference.
Gomez joined Diana Gutierrez on 12 News at 11:00 to talk about her book that shares the story of 25 women with Wisconsin ties who have made a difference. She talks about why Latinas who have a rich history of community activism in the state rarely get their stories told.
As we are four weeks away from the 2023 spring election, Gomez is using her platform to encourage women to vote, specifically Latinas.
She is an active member of the nonpartisan League of Women Voters in Milwaukee County and talks about resources available for the community.
