WASHINGTON, DC — The League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) today announced the full slate of trustees serving on the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) Board of Trustees, following June appointments and an additional August appointment that bring new and returning strategic voices to the Education Fund’s leadership.
In June, LWVUS reappointed Kimberley Fraser and Christine Switzer and appointed Kimberly Abbott and Ezra Rosenberg to the LWVEF Board of Trustees. In August, LWVUS appointed Shazia Rafi to serve as a trustee. Together, these trustees will provide strategic counsel to LWVUS President Sania Irwin, the elected members of the LWVUS Board, and the LWVUS staff team as the organization advances its civic education and voter engagement work nationwide.
Trustees will serve through June 2028 alongside LWVUS President Sania Irwin, Vice President Vedna Lacombe-Heywood, Treasurer Julie Stackhouse, Secretary Toni Monette, and directors Tracy Adkison, Margarett Barnes, Mary Coltrane, Kimberly Hamlin, Kathy Jones, Claudia Ortega-Hogue, Cecile Scoon, and Jocelyn Travis.
Kimberley Fraser is vice president of Manatos & Manatos, a Washington, DC–based lobbying firm. She also helped establish the nonprofit Committee for Citizen Awareness and served as its executive director, leading efforts that provided more than 360,000 free civic education videos to high schools nationwide.
Christine Switzer serves as head of philanthropy at the Monarch Foundation, where she advances the organization's mission to eradicate child poverty and address the climate crisis. She is a powerhouse who has supported the League’s philanthropic portfolio.
Kimberly Abbott is chief communications officer at Women Moving Millions and a strategic communications executive with more than 25 years of experience as a broadcast journalist, nonprofit leader, and storyteller.
Ezra Rosenberg serves as a longtime advocate for local and state Leagues during his time at the Lawyers Committee and is currently the director of appellate advocacy for the ACLU of New Jersey, where he works to protect and expand civil rights and civil liberties for all New Jersey residents.
Shazia Rafi is managing director of Global Parliamentary Services, LLC, where she works to strengthen representative, accountable, and effective political institutions around the world.
