Vote 411 is a website created by the League of Women Voters, allowing people to view candidate and election information online.

The website shows all candidates for elections in your area.

"You can get into each office and see who's running for the primary. You'll see Democratic and Republican candidates, and we have a series of questions for each office." Kelly Berger, the VOTE 411 coordinator for the League of Women Voters of Greater Lafayette, said. “The candidates will present their answers to those questions, and then you have the opportunity to actually even put them side by side so you can compare the answers for each candidate."

Berger shared why she thinks resources like this are important for voters to have.

"The League of Women Voters wants people to have easy access to information about their candidates. We want to improve the number of people who vote in Tippecanoe County and in Indiana in general,” Berger said. “We want to provide candidates a way to get their information out to the voters, and this is a way to do both of those things, so you can make an informed choice."

The website also allows candidates to answer questions that are reflective of the office they are running for.

"We invite all candidates to participate, and then to answer those questions... The questions are different for each office. Usually, three to five questions have to do with what's happening in the world and the community,” Berger said.
