League of Women Voters Welcomes Christine Switzer to National Board

WASHINGTON — The League of Women Voters is proud to announce the appointment of Christine Switzer to the national board. Switzer is currently the head of philanthropy at the Monarch Foundation, which focuses on eradicating child poverty and ending the climate crisis. Her expertise in philanthropic counsel and strategic planning support will be vital as the League continues to invest in voter education and outreach programs nationwide.

Christine brings more than 25 years of experience across multiple sectors. She was formerly vice president of philanthropic consulting at Fidelity Investments®. Prior to joining Fidelity Philanthropic Consulting, Christine was vice president of philanthropic strategies for the Private Donor Group at Fidelity Charitable, where she provided trusted guidance and innovative solutions to affluent philanthropists interested in effective grantmaking.

"I am passionate about building the resources and relationships needed to sustain and grow impact, and I look forward to contributing my experience to help advance the organization’s mission and impact.” 

Switzer has worked in a variety of director roles for institutions including Accenture, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, the Global Fund for Women, the International Museum of Women, and the US Embassy in Paris and Madrid. She also worked as an independent philanthropic and fundraising advisor to family foundations and nonprofits.   

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. She also studied abroad at the Sorbonne and Institut de Sciences Politiques in Paris.
