MA ACLU HEAD CAROL ROSE WILL DELIVER THE KEYNOTE AT THE LEXINGTON LWV ANNUAL MEETING JUNE 26
The 82nd Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Lexington will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM in Estabrook Hall, Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. At 7:30 PM, following a business meeting and election of officers, Carol Rose, Executive Director of the ACLU of Massachusetts will speak on “ACLU: Now More Than Ever.”
Rose, a Lexington resident, has led the ACLU in Massachusetts since 2003. She has focused on racial justice and equal opportunity for women, LGBTQ+ people and immigrants. She has launched the Technology for Liberty Project which focuses on strengthening privacy rights against corporate and government practices that rely on new technology. The aim is to ensure government transparency and effective warrant requirements for surveillance.
As always, the presentation will be free and open to the public. Lex Media will also record the program for later viewing.
