The League of Women Voters of Lexington is pleased to host the January 3, 2025 First Friday with Lexington’s new Town Manager. The First Friday will be in the Lexington Community Center, Room 237.

Steve Bartha was appointed to serve as the Lexington Town Manager in November 2024, after serving as the Danvers Town Manager for a decade. Currently, Steve serves as one of three Northeast Regional Vice Presidents on the International City/County Management Association. He is a past president of both the Massachusetts and Connecticut Municipal Management Associations.

A native of northern Michigan, Steve graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in political theory and constitutional democracy. He then spent two years teaching high school English in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with Teach For America before earning his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in Public Finance and pursuing a career in local government.

He is married to Dr. Elena Forzani, an Assistant Professor in Literacy Education at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, and they are amazed daily by their two spunky kids – 11-year-old Giuliana and 7-year-old Jack.

This program is the third in the 2024-2025 LWV First Friday Forum series hosted by the League of Women Voters to promote awareness and understanding of public policy issues. Lex Media will record the program. There will be time for Q&A after the program.
