What values will guide your decision making on new development proposals?

When considering any proposal before the Planning Board

  1. I have been elected 3 times (2017, 2020, 2023) by Lexington residents to represent their best interests and the best interests of the Town.
  2. Ideological values are legitimate, but they should only be considered in addition to, and not instead of number 1 above
  3. Regional considerations are legitimate, but they should be considered in the context of number 1 above

Collaboration and Transparency

  • I come to Board meetings prepared to communicate clearly with Applicants, the Board and Residents. I participate verbally and visually using slides that clarify my point of view. This brings clarity and adds credibility to suggestions that I make.
  • I work with my Planning Board colleagues to arrive at consensus decisions as often as possible - something that we can all support with a "yes” vote.
  • All Boards and Committees operate in a Democratic process - a willingness to compromise is necessary.
  • I bring a balanced view to all my work on the Planning Board
