Today (Tuesday, November 5th) is Election Day!

Please remember to vote! You can still register to vote by going to the city clerk’s office. You can also obtain an absentee ballot. You must provide proof of residency. 

In Holland, the ballot contains the offices of:  Mayor; Council Member At-Large (1 position); and Wards 2, 4, and 6 Council Members.  Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. The City Clerk’s office (located in the Holland City Hall – 270 S. River Ave) will be open until 4pm for voter registration.  Polling places are:


Ward 1, Precincts 1, 2, 3 (Ottawa Co.) - Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church, 839 E 8th Street
Ward 2, Precincts 4, 5 (Ottawa Co.) - Hope Church, 77 W 11th Street
Ward 3, Precincts 6, 7 (Ottawa Co.) - Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland, 435 Van Raalte Avenue
Ward 4, Precincts 8, 10 (Ottawa Co.), Precinct 9 (Allegan Co.) - Calvary Church of Holland, 517 W 32nd Street
Ward 5, Precincts 11, 12, 13 (Allegan Co.) - Maplewood Reformed Church, 139 E 34th Street
Ward 6, Precincts 14, 15 (Ottawa Co.) -  First Reformed Church, 630 State Street

 The MAX bus will be offering free rides all day to enable voters to get to the polling places.

In Saugatuck, six candidates are running for three 2-year city council terms and the Saugatuck Public Schools is requesting approval of two millage proposals.  Voting will take place in the Saugatuck City Hall, 102 Butler St., Saugatuck.

 

In Douglas, four write-in candidates are running for three city council positions and the Saugatuck Public Schools is requesting approval of two millage proposals. Voting will take place at the Douglas City Hall, 86 W Center St, Douglas.
