Ben Cohen, sustainable homesteader and proprietor of Small House Farm, is an heirloom seed activist and educator. He is passionate about growing food and will discuss why planting, saving, and sharing seeds is essential to the cultivation of sustainable neighborhoods, healthy communities and the preservation of history. Basic and intermediate seed saving techniques will be explained. Seeds will be given away to attendees (while supplies last). This event coincides with the launch of HDL's seed saving library.

The LWV of the Holland Area is a co-sponsor of the Living Sustainably along the Lakeshore series.
