We host hundreds of events and programs every year to educate voters about candidates in thousands of federal, state and local races, as well as distribute millions of educational materials about state and local elections.

Position

Impact on Issues is designed to help League members use LWVUS and public policy positions effectively at the national, state, local, and regional levels. The intention is to inspire Leagues to use national positions to act in their own communities.

Evan Horowitz, Executive Director of the Center for State Policy Analysis at Tufts University, joined LWVCC to discuss the five ballot questions that Massachusetts voters will be able to vote on on November 5. The League advocates for issues but does not support or oppose any candidates for office. Every League Board of Directors at each level is required to have a non-partisan policy. The League does not have a single policy that covers all Leagues. A link to the nonpartisan policy of the LWV of the Cooperstown area is available on our website.
