The League of Women Voters of Nassau County is an Inter-League Organization. We educate and advocate on topics of county-wide importance, conduct voter service at the county level, and are actively involved in following county government issues.  To learn more about local issues, local League meetings and educational forums, or to join the League, please contact one of the five local Leagues in Nassau County listed below (you are not required to live in the townships in the local League name).


The five Leagues represent the following villages and unincorporated areas (hamlets), and in the case of Long Beach one of the cities, of Nassau County. It is recommended that you join the local League nearest where you live, but you can join any local League of your choice.
  • Central Nassau: Baldwin, Floral Park, Franklin Square, Garden City, Hempstead, Lakeview, New Hyde Park, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Roosevelt, Stewart Manor, Uniondale, West Hempstead
  • East Nassau: Bellmore, Bethpage, East Meadow, Farmingdale, Freeport, Hicksville, Island Trees, Levittown, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, N. Merrick, Old Bethpage, Plainedge, Plainview, Seaford, Syosset, Wantagh, Woodbury
  • Long Beach: East Atlantic Beach, Island Park, Lido Beach, Long Beach, Point Lookout
  • Port Washington-Manhasset: East Williston, Glen Cove, Glen Head, Glenwood Landing, Great Neck, Manhasset, North Hills, Port Washington, Roslyn, Roslyn Harbor, Roslyn Heights, Sea Cliff, Williston Park
  • Southwest Nassau: Atlantic Beach, Cedarhurst, East Rockaway, Elmont, Hewlett, Inwood, Lawrence, Lynbrook, Malverne, Valley Stream, Woodmere
