Susan B. Anthony Award Recipient: Susybelle Lyons Gosslee

Susybelle is known for her tenacity in bringing attention to issues nobody else wants to discuss. She founded Our Friends Place to help young women break the cycle of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness. As a member of the League of Women Voters of Dallas, Susybelle tackles issues such as sex-trafficking, school finance and the handling of hazardous materials.

Champion Volunteer Award Recipient: William Tobin “Will” Toler

Will is being recognized for his tireless work to reduce the property taxes of the Hamilton Park neighborhood. The Dallas Morning News spotlighted Will in their article Meet the man solving a tax nightmare.
